Despite some challenging autumn weather, with strong winds and the occasional shower, the Lanark Tennis Club Championships Finals once again provided a fantastic day of competitive tennis, great sportsmanship and excellent support from members.

Players battled the conditions as well as each other to produce some entertaining finals across all events, with family, friends and club members cheering them on throughout the day.

A special mention goes to Andrew McCallum, who made a remarkable debut in the adult Club Championships. In his first appearance, Andrew claimed the Gents Singles title before partnering Eram Haider to win the Mixed Doubles, making it an unforgettable first Championships.

The Club would like to extend its sincere thanks to Andy Jack, who once again organised and ran the Championships. A huge amount of work goes into planning the event and ensuring everything runs smoothly, and we are very grateful for his continued commitment.

Finally, thank you to everyone who entered, volunteered, and came along to support the players. The Club Championships remain one of the highlights of the tennis calendar, and it was wonderful to see so many members enjoying another memorable Finals Day.
