Emily’s Strong Run of Results
Emily began her season by picking up silver in the Bridge of Allan 11U doubles, partnering with Mariam from Giffnock Tennis Club. She followed this up with two further podium finishes, securing back-to-back Grade 4 silver medals at Prestwick, showing consistency and determination across consecutive tournaments.
Jessica's 12u doubles grade 4 gold
Jessica and her partner Evie then picked up their fifth doubles gold together at the grade 3 ROGY tournament in Edinburgh.
Jessica’s Breakthrough Success
Jessica has also been in exceptional form. Earlier in the season she claimed 12U Grade 4 doubles gold at Bridge of Allan, adding to an already impressive year.
At the same venue she stepped up to compete in the 16U doubles, where she and her partner Amitris from Rutherglen Tennis Club earned a fantastic silver medal.
Her standout achievement came at the Grade 3 Fairmont Tayside Open in St Andrews, where Jessica won the singles title – the biggest victory of her tennis career and her first Grade 3 singles triumph. In a remarkable run, she defeated the number one seed in the semi-final and the number two seed in the final, both of whom had travelled from England to compete.
Jessica also secured silver in the doubles at the same event, capping off a superb weekend of tennis. She was presented with her medal by Johnny O’Mara, and had the opportunity for photos alongside her final opponent, Rhona Alston, President of Tennis Scotland, and Johnny – a memorable moment to mark a career milestone.
The success continued in Edinburgh at the Grade 3 ROGY tournament, where Jessica and her partner Evie claimed their fifth doubles gold together. The pair were particularly delighted to play their final on the show court, making the occasion even more special.
Jessica and Emily’s dedication, hard work and commitment to their tennis are clearly paying off. Everyone at Lanark Tennis Club is incredibly proud of their achievements and looks forward to following their progress throughout the rest of the season.
Congratulations to both players on a fantastic start to 2026!
